Basic Bluebird House

Basic Bluebird House

Bluebirds are prized in the American garden, they're native to and only found in North America. Many gardeners are looking for more ways to attract bluebirds, and we've been perfecting our bluebird house to help with that goal. We received feedback from customers on our last bluebird house, and immediately connected with our sources on a redesign. The most important edit was for increased space. According to the North American Bluebird Association, the required size for a bluebird house is a 5"x5" floor space. This Basic Bluebird House fits that measurement. It is a sturdy, American–made box constructed out of pine, which opens by a latch in the front for easy cleaning once baby birds fledge. The house includes a wooden portal protector, which makes the entry hole too small for other hungry critters. The best place for this house is 4–6' off the ground, in an open area with low grass—away from buildings and other bluebird houses. Box: H11¾"xD6 7/16"xW6 9/16" Inside Floor: 5"x5", Portal Protector: H2¼"xW2¼" and ¾" deep
